As I reflect on my time in India, there are a million stories I could tell. There were many laughs, many times where the Lord moved, many difficult moments, and overall, so many things to look back on and be grateful for. To summarize my time here in just a short blog seems impossible. So, in this blog I will give a general overview of what my time in India looked like and from there I will slowly release more blogs about specific moments and stories during my time here.
During this time, I got to live with and do ministry with my team (me and five other girls). In this country, we got to focus on relational ministry! This looked like us going to a local church and enjoying fellowship with the youth and kids there. We spent our time playing games, worshipping, sharing stories, teaching computer and english classes, learning new instruments, leading bible studies, and sharing messages in house visits. This is was what that majority of our ministry looked like! We also got the opportunity to provide childcare for a house church of local missionaries and connect with the families who attended.
Although this was our “set” ministry, I got to see the Lord move in so many other ways. This is includes growth in relationship with my team, sharing Jesus with the person next to me on the bus, being discipled by our ministry hosts, and the Lord doing a work in my own heart. I get to store all that the Lord did in my heart and carry it with me as I continue walking with Him over these next few months! What a joy that I get to continue growing and learning more everyday. What a gift that as I search the depths of Him there is always more to be found!!
